- this is an awesome plugin that’s mainly for the vocoder/talkbox/polyvox effects. It seems to be perfectly fine as a standalone program if you’re looking for vocal synth effects. It’s pretty awesome with stuff like the breathiness algorithm, formant shift, filters, mixing of the 5 vocal effects with the dry signal, and it does autotune as well. This plugin is great for the Daft Punk (Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger) and Imogen Heap (Hide and Seek) stuff.
- I picked this up on a similar $50 deal and I absolutely love the plugin. It’s more than a vocoder. The different modules make it really easy to dial a sound in. I used it as a doubling effect on a dobro guitar recently and it was so good.

I think it’s very awesome and a solid step up from Vocalsynth 1. It’s got tons of great modules as well as a bunch of re-arrangeable effects and it just sounds damn good, especially when in midi mode. It’s pretty CPU intensive though. Probably the most CPU-intensive plugin I use.

I’ve been playing around with it for a while and I really like it. You can make some really cool sounds with it. But I also don’t like the sound of my own voice and I like synthwave-y type music so it’s a good tool. If you’re a singer I think you’d have fun with it, but you’d probably be using it here and there to add some interesting background textures and transitions. I would think it’s more of a vocal transformer rather than a vocal effect. The midi function makes it like playing a synth with your voice. If you’re looking for something that isn’t focused on transforming the voice but adding effects, you could check out Izotope’s Nectar. That’s like a whole all-in-one vocal production package (compressors, eq, pitch and formant controls, delay, reverb, etc).
