What is Orb Composer / Producer Suite? It is a mesmerizing collection designed with a set of 4 plugins produced using artificial intelligence for measuring the endless patterns, melodies and bassline. The package also has an orb chord which is the main plugin for this amazing suite as users can be provided with complete power of harmony with chord movement. The package also calculates the scale and many other functions such as time signature.
What makes hexachords orb producer suite different from Captain Chords is that Captain Chords is online-only, so it (superficially, at least) seems to have access to more powerful ‘generators’, and will get you slightly closer to a coherent tune than Orb most of the time. With Orb you have to be quite restrained with things like the density of notes because it can quickly get pretty random – it’s better to aim for something sparse and then add in detail manually. But it does work offline and has the Arpeggio module, which Captain Chords doesn’t have.
