- I really like the piano, EP, organ and clav sounds. The preset library is absolutely massive, but using the filters usually helps. People usually complain about the “unusable” presets, but I actually appreciate the fact that arturia spent the time to make a few thousand “off the wall” sounds. I find a lot of them to actually be inspiring, though many admittedly sound pretty weird.
- It’s not very good for sound design other than creating “multi” patches (which are just two presets played in unison), but the available controls are sometimes fun to mess with. The integration with the keylab controller is also excellent if you’re interested in getting a midi keyboard.
- I have to hand it to Arturia, some of the sounds in Analog lab 4 are soooo nice. This one was apparently modelled on a DX7 with a ton of reverb.
